  Biography	Born in London. He exhibited paintings in Britain and abroad before World War Two and has written extensively about artists, notably John Piper, painting and theatre design. He was a member of the Society of Industrial Artists and he designed material for a number of commercial organisations. From 1943 to 1955 he was Advertising Director at Ealing Studios where he commissioned artists to design posters to advertise films. He held a number of solo exhibitions after the war. He then worked in television.
