    A designer and interior decorator, George Ellwood studied at Camden School of Art and later in Paris, Berlin, Dresden and Vienna. From 1916 to 1924 he was an editor for the journal 'Drawing and Design'. He lived in London and exhibited at a number of venues between 1899 and 1915, including four times at the Royal Academy.
