    Biography
    Margaret Haythorne was the sister of the artist Edmund Haythorne. She was a wood engraver and painter. She studied at Liverpool City School Art from around 1915 and later at the Central School of Arts and Crafts in London for which, with Muriel Jackson, she painted decorations on the staircase. She exhibited in Liverpool, and at the RA, the NEAC, and the Redfern Gallery in London with the Society of Wood Engravers, of which she became an associate member in 1924.
