    Sydney Jones was a painter, illustrator, designer and writer. He lived in London from the 1920s. Jones exhibited at a number of venues between 1907 and 1938, including several times at the Royal Academy. He did an extensive amount of commercial work and illustrations for publications, such as The Times, Illustrated London News and The Studio. His many books concentrated on the English countryside, such as Old English Country Cottages and English Village Life.
