Biography
Attribute Value Biography Hilda Cowham was born in Westminster she studied at Wimbledon School of Art and then at Lambeth School of Art and the Royal College of Art.
Winning a competition in 'The Studio' led to magazine commissions and she was one of the first women artists to contribute to 'Punch'. She also contributed to The Graphic, The Sketch and many other magazines and books. She often painted landscapes and domestic scenes. She produced designs for Shelly China.
