    Biography
    Lewin Bassingthwaighte was a painter relief maker and print maker. Born in Essex he studied at St Martin's School of Arts and Crafts and the Royal College of Art. In 1957 he had a one man show at the Leicester Galleries and has exhibited widely in the UK, Germany and the USA. He taught at Chelsea School of Art.
    His work is held by the Arts Council, V&A Museum.
