    Biography
    Richard Beer attended the Slade School of Art between 1945 and 1950, and S W Hayter's Atelier17 and the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris. He was a painter, draughtsman, designer and as a teacher he taught at the Slade.

    He has designed sets and costumes for opera and ballet, produced illustrations for books and book covers and has held extensive exhibitions including at Sally Hunter Fine Art. His work is held in the Tate Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
