    Born in 1929 Anthony Atkinson studied art first at Wimbledon School of Art and then from 1951-1954 at the Royal College of Art. He was a painter, teacher and exhibition organiser. He was appointed to become Head of Colchester Art School. Since 1956 he exhibited at the Royal Academy, NEAC and Leicester Galleries. He has been commissioned by Shell and the Post Office. He was the organiser for the Ernst & Young annual art exhibition. He has been commissioned by Shell, the GPO and Essex County Council. He lives in Essex.
