    Biography
    Anna Zinkeisen, sister of Doris Zinkeisen, was born in Kilcreggan, Scotland and studied at the Royal Academy Schools in 1916 where she won several medals.

    Principally a painter of society portraits and flowers, she also executed murals (including commissions for the liners Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth), made sculpture, designed book jackets and magazines and posters for the LNER. She has exhibited widely including the RA, RBA, ROI, SW, RSA and Redfern Gallery. There is a self portraint in the NPG. Her work is held by the NPG, IWM, Nottingham City Museum and Ar Gallery, City art Gallery Bradford.
