    Born in Bordeaux, Jean Dupas studied at the Ecole Des Beaux Arts in Paris.

    In 1922 he won a gold medal at the Salon des Artistes Francais. After which his decorative panels and poster designs became highly fashionable. He contributed to Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. Among several important commercial clients in France, England and the USA, was the Sevres factory and Saks Department store in New York. He also worked on the decor of the liners Île-de-France, the Liberté and the Normandie.
