Description
This a small die-cast toy is a model of an early 20th century London General Omnibus Company (L.G.O.C.) horse-drawn bus. The bus has adverts for Lipton's tea along the sides. 'Matchbox' models were made by Lesney, a die-casting company based in the Lee Valley. Established in 1947, the firm had great success making miniature toy vehicles that were exported throughout the world. Although the company was declared bankrupt in 1992, the brand name continues.
