Description | This paper geographical map of Middlesex was issued by the District Railway and London United Tramways in 1910. It shows the route of the District Railway as a red and white line and the Tramways routes as a broken line. The lines are printed onto a decorative map which includes pictures of fields, buildings, woods, parks and rivers, in various colours. The map covers the area between Turnham Green, Harrow-on-the-Hill, Ruislip and Hounslow Barracks. The District Railway line from Turnham Green, connects to a smaller map showing the central London Underground network, with red lines on a white background. The map has a brown border, with the title in blue on the right hand side and the key below it. The reverse is printed in brown and green, and contains information about through tickets, cheap return tickets, what to see in the West Country, racecourses, golf courses and sports grounds. |
