Description
This is a geographic style Underground map on paper issued by the Great Northern, Piccadilly & Brompton Railway. The map is of the central London area with three Tube lines overprinted as black lines. This map shows the GNP&BR between Piccadilly Circus and Holborn, as well as the branch under construction to Strand Station, the BS&WR is printed from Embankment to Piccadilly Circus, and the Charing Cross, Euston & Hampstead Railway is marked as being under construction from Charing Cross. A section of the District Railway is also included on this map, between Embankment and Temple Stations. Lines under construction are marked with broken lines and the location of stations are shown by circles. The Underground lines on this map have been printed onto a street map of central London. This map includes street names, places of interest are highlighted in brown and theatres have been printed in red, the background to this map is green. The reverse is printed in red and green and contains a fare table, lists of theatres, restaurants and hotels, the times of first and last trains, GNP&BR connections and special notices. The front cover has an illustration of an Underground car interior.
