Description | 3-aspect colour light signal head assembly, with post and associated number plates. Known as a "searchlight" signal because of the style of lens casings this type of signal is more associated with American practise than British. They were however used on certain projects in this country including the electrification and resignalling of the lines out of Liverpool Street station. This process was an integral part of the NWP initiated by the LPTB in 1935 and that included the Central line eastern extensions. |
