Description | From the late 1940s most of the food provided for London Transport (L.T.) staff was produced by its own catering department. This biscuit-cutter was used to make the L.T.B. Shortie biscuit at the Food Production Centre in Croydon ('L.T.B.' stands for London Transport Board, LT's official name at the time.) The biscuits were mass- produced and distributed to L.T. staff canteens and mess rooms throughout London. They were also sold directly to staff in the Croydon factory. |
