Description | Standard type of two needle double-line block signalling instrument. This example was probably made by the London Midland and Scottish Railway between 1923 and 1948. "LMSR" is stamped on the hinges of the upper door. Amerswood East does not appear in the listings of Signal Boxes and it has been suggested that this combination of Amersham annd Chorley Wood may indicate it originated as a specimin instrument from a training school. |
