Description
Leaflet which describes the number of trams operating during the middle of the day (990). During the busy hours the number is increased to (1,450) and trailer cars are also run, making a total of (1,560). The increase in seating capacity at busy hours as compared with slack hours is (52%). During the business rush, the number of tramcars passing through embankment between Westminister Bridges in each direction were (195). The number of trailer cars in the same period is (27), making a total of (222). The total cost of the London County Council tramways system was (£14.5M). Capital repaid out of tramways revenue is (£6M). The amount paid last year for interest and redemption of dept was (£600K). When the balance has been paid off, Londoners will own the finest tramway in the world, and dept charges will be (NIL)
