Description | This photographic postcard shows Leytonstone station in 1904. A large crowd of commuters, mostly men, has gathered on the platform. At the time, Great Eastern Railway provided the service to Liverpool Street. It became part of the Central line in 1947. On the back of the postcard is a handwritten address, a halfpenny stamp and a postmark dated 12 July 1904. |
