Description | This photographic postcard shows a Vanguard motorbus that seems to have crashed into some bushes. Onlookers have gathered around the bus and on the far right, a man with a horse and cart is driving past. Vanguard was the fleet name introduced in 1906 by the London Motor Omnibus Company, which was the first to use route numbers to help passengers identify bus routes. |
