Description
Gas attacks were feared during the Second World War. Memories of gas attacks against soldiers during the First World War were fresh in people's minds. London Transport shared this concern. Staff were trained to carry out emergency work wearing cumbersome protective clothing. This drawing shows some of the items issued.
