Description | This artwork was used by the Underground Group on a 1912 poster publicising its weekend services. The Group encouraged its passengers to use the Underground for leisure as well as travelling to work. The painting, by Fred Taylor, depicts the inside of Queens Hall. This concert venue was on Langham Place, Westminster. It remained popular until gutted by an incendiary bomb during the Second World War. |
