Explore the museum after hours at one of our Friday Late events. We keep the doors open until 10pm, and often give you a sneak peak of our newest exhibition. With music, bars, hot food, talks, quizzes, and craft activities, the Friday Late is great way to discover the Museum.

Please note that our Friday Lates are adult events suitable for those over 18 years old.

Design the perfect start to your weekend at our next Friday Late. Join us to celebrate the launch of our latest exhibition designology – where we uncover all the design details that make up your journeys. We’ve got a fantastic line up of workshops, talks, craft, food and fun including:

• First chance to see the new designology exhibition
• Curator led tours of the new exhibition

• Workshops:

  • Create your own mini London Design mood-board to take away – coached by Ivan Bennet, Senior Industrial Product Designer at TfL, explore and celebrate London’s greatest design in our pop up design studio
  • Memory Mapping - how would you illustrate a favourite place, route, memory or journey in London or elsewhere? Led by artist Stephen Walters, you will be creating your own map based artworks to take home
  • Crafty fun with London Craft Club - taking inspiration from the famous Paolozzi mosaics at Tottenham Court Road station, make your own mosaic coaster to take home

• Talks:

  • Head of Design and Heritage at LU, Mike Ashworth on designed station environments, and the challenge of protecting the heritage of artistic works on the network
  • Artist Stephen Walters on the design and process of map making, and the experience of walking the city streets

And not to forget our Friday Night favourites –
• DJ Museum of Vinyl
• Quiz Master Andy for our devilishly difficult design quiz
• Delicious food and drink
