Main details
Reference number | 1993/69 part 0 |
---|---|
Description | On its formation in 1933, London Transport (L.T.) was responsible for the operation of the Underground, buses and many tram services. This sign illustrates this as it gives directions to the trams and also to Blackfriars station. It was in the middle of the junction of Fleet Street with Ludgate Hill directing passengers to the tram stop on the Embankment, close to Blackfriars station. It replaced the sign of the previous tram service operator, London County Council Tramways (L.C.C.T). |
