Poster; 100 years of the Johnston typeface, by Alan Kitching, 2016

Limited edition poster with white wording reading 'Johnston' and '100', with the two 'o's in Johnston making the '0's of the number on a white background. The text on the poster is accentuated with a triple shadow effect visible against each letter individually. The colours of the shadows correspond with the colours associated with the Underground lines. It has been signed and numbered by the artist. At the bottom right corner there is text which lists the poster title and artist, with information about the commission. All of this text is in black with the exception of the first line, the poster title, which is written in the same colour scheme used for the shadows in the main body of the image. All text uses the Johnston 100 typeface. This was part of a series of posters commissioned by TfL to commemorate 100 years of the Johnston typeface.
