LONDON'S FLOWERS The Londoner, above most others, can and does enjoy the beauty of flowers - witness his myriad gardens, sparkling in spring, rose-riotous in July and nursing through autumn a final warmth of wine-red and mauve and bronze...For those who have no gardens, it is not hard, in London, to become flower-growers by proxy. They can stroll critically the flower walk in Kensington Gardens , or, notebook in hand, do colourful research at Kew or Wisley. They can enjoy roses in Regent's Park, the summer splendour of Hampton Court, the long ribbon of dahlias in St. James's Park. For them blooms are massed in Covent Garden Market, for them flowers at the street-ends blaze banked on barrows all the floral year.
