Description
In this photo from May 1991, a group of women are crowded around a stall selling china ornaments. Since being transformed from a wholesale fruit, vegetable and flower market, Covent Garden Market has become famous for its shopping. As well as the designer boutiques, Covent Garden hosts over 200 stalls in its North Hall, known as the Apple Market.
