The Eastern End, looking East, from Church St corner. The buildings date from about 1905. The "Civet Cat" has recently been converted into a Bank, after three centuries of existence - the Publicans have displaced the Publican. On the left is the Victoria Memorial Column, termed by the cynical Kensington's Chocolate Stick. Note the change in traffic and in road surface, compared with preceding photograph.
