Description | Northbound Northern line platform, Leicester Square Underground station. The image was taken shortly after station modernisation was completed, and shows in the foreground an exit archway to the Piccadilly line platforms with a vitreous enamelled surround designed by Robert Cooper after the style of a proscenium arch. Various illuminated direction signs hang from the roof. Several people can be seen on the platform. |
