Description
Hendon Central Underground station, Northern line on the Edgware extension. Interior view of the booking hall on day of opening. A man in a raincoat and felt hat is about to become the first passenger to purchase a ticket from one of two passimeter booking offices at the station. A large crowd of people have gathered to watch the event. Note non-slip floor tiling, laid in chequerboard pattern.
