Description | View of the recently refurbished eastbound District line platform at Charing Cross (now Embankment) station, showing new illuminated train indicator, illuminated direction sign with Mexican arrow and fluorescent lighting. The station name roundel is of unusual design, being made of toughened glass rather than the more usual vitreous enamel. A weighing machine is integrated into the platform wall, , midground left. A few people are waiting on the platform. |
