Description | Interior view of Q35-stock car no 8784, which has been fitted with experimental 'daylight ' type fluorescent tube lighting; twelve 2ft long tubes have been installed on each side of the car. Seated 'passengers' pose for the camera. Note mix of longitudinal and transverse seating, and the wartime anti-blast netting on the glazed sections of the doors. Recruiting posters for station staff are pasted to the draught screens in the foreground. |
