Description
Northern line station gardens competition 1939. The judges, together with LT's head gardener (nearest camera), viewing a trackside garden created by Signalman C Beaverback at Colindale Underground station, which was awarded a first prize of £5. Note the advertising posters lining the concrete wall behind the garden.
