| Description | Lillie Bridge Rail Depot, overhead gantry crane under construction. The steel framed gantry stands in mid/ground, forming an angular 'M' shaped structure above the permanent way. A crane arm balanced by a tripod structure (supported by metal cables) lifts iron girders into position at the top of the gantry. Workmen stand on the horizontal gantry structure.
