Description | Cast aluminium body with integral handle with holding clips giving access to battery. Bracket attachment to rear. Black plastic selector switch. Black plastic bezel and perspex lens. Cast markings indicating LT asset number 775. Taped to base manuscript written notice detailing last trains [Piccadilly line from Green Park]. "Bardic" lamps were in common use on the Underground until phased out 2000/2001 by newer aspect torches. The last train details, taped to the base, show that a common use of the lamps to show the green aspect to the last train of the night leaving a station. |
