Description
Platform view at Shepherd's Bush Underground station, of the 'Twopenny Tube' on the Central London Railway, soon after the opening of the line. The original 'camel-backed' CLR 1900-class electric locomotive is in the foreground, with some advertising on the trackside wall to the right. A group of men are on the platform in the mid/ground, all facing the camera. This image was copied from a postcard image with the inscription intact.
