What’s on

Hands-on and interactive activities include:

Earthbeat COP26 Tour

Meet the Earthbeat team to see one of their CreatiVelos (e-bikes) currently on tour from Luxembourg to Glasgow, and find out about the biggest climate conference in a generation, COP26. How do you see a greener future, and how can we all take part?

The Earthbeat team will be available between 10:00 and 16:00 on 23 and 24 October only.

Self-guided trail

Follow the trail around the galleries to discover how London’s environment has been shaped by engineering innovations and new technology. Best fo 5-12 year olds.

Interactive STEM-inspired activity

How do ‘green’ buses work? Why are they better for the environment? Put your questions to real-world engineers as they talk about some of the latest innovation helping to make public transport more sustainable. Children will be able to put their imagination to the test with a take-home activity that encourages them to step into the shoes of an engineer. Best for 8-12 years olds.

STEM activity workshops will last 25 minutes and start at 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00.

Storytelling

Listen to tales of Yemi and his bus-driver dad as the pair explore the city and learn about small changes we can all make to be more green. Best for children 7 years and under.

Storytelling sessions will run five times a day at 10:30, 11:30, 13:20, 14:20 and 15:20.

Art installation

Many animals, insects and birds call London’s parks, railway tracks and green spaces home. Draw your favourite creature ‘living’ amongst the historic vehicles which you can then add to our collaborative artwork about the city, celebrating its inhabitants of all shapes and sizes.
