Depot guided tours

We have over 450,000 objects in our collection - most of which are housed at our Museum Depot in Acton. Our guided tours allow you to go behind the scenes at this working depot and explore this treasure trove of transport history. Discover delights like historic road and rail vehicles, engineering equipment, vehicle and architectural models, original artworks and posters, textiles and ceramics, signs and maps, and much more!

We run several guided tours which you can see more about below. All of our tours have been developed for an adult audience, but older children with a keen interest in transport or design may also enjoy them. Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.

You can also explore the Depot at one of our three annual Open Weekends, and enjoy the many activities on offer, including mini-tours, talks and film screenings, plus activities for all the family.
