Discover the curious world of London Transport's Lost Property Office

As part of our Easter family activities, we are inviting you to enter the weird and wonderful world of London Transport’s Lost Property Office. Since the Lost Property Office first opened in 1933 it has become home to more than 15 million objects, from everyday hats, bags and toys to unusual items including a skeleton, a mattress, prosthetic limbs and a grandfather clock!

Between 2-18 April, visitors can follow a trail around the museum’s galleries to discover fun facts about objects past and present that have been lost and found on London’s Tube trains and buses.

On selected dates during the holidays, join children’s authors Emily Rand and Kate Wilkinson as they read from their books inspired by these lost mementos.

Meet Emily Rand, author of The Lost Property Office

Join Emily Rand as she reads from her book The Lost Property Office, and then get creative to collage your own lost object and add it into Emily’s Lost Property Office installation.
