The Museum offers a welcoming space for a fun day out with thousands of objects on display, from vehicles to visual art. Our diverse collection provides inspiration for learning and creativity and a fantastic opportunity to share stories.

We understand that organising a trip can be difficult, so here are some tips to make it as easy as possible.

Book ahead

To make sure the Museum can accommodate everyone in your group it’s best to book ahead. There are discounts for groups with ten or more adults (tickets valid for one day only). Children go free.

The Museum tells the story of London’s transport from 1800 to the present day, and takes a peep into the future too. This handy floor plan will help you find your way around.

You can take a look at our temporary exhibitions to find out what will be showing when you visit.

Something to eat?

The Museum has a café located above the shop at the main entrance. At weekends a second café is available inside the Museum on the ground floor. There is also a small area inside the Museum where you can eat your own picnic.
