We run a lively programme of talks, walking tours and workshops for adults alongside our exhibition programme and inspired by our collections. Find out what’s coming up in the What’s on events calendar. Book early – many events are very popular and can sell out quickly.
You can enjoy one of our Friday Late events, which include the best of our adult learning programme mixed with music and a licensed bar.
You can also make an appointment to visit our library to do independent research. Library staff can help with answering questions you might have about the past, present or future development of London’s transport.
Adult learning: Museum Depot
The Museum Depot at Acton holds the majority of our collections, and is a working store with over 6000 square metres of storage. If the Museum in Covent Garden is the tip of the iceberg for our collections, then the Depot is the iceberg itself!
Date: Thursday 15 November 2018
Please note that this event is for 16+ only
From 18:45, we are keeping our doors open exclusively for young people aged 16-25, their parents/guardians, teachers and careers advisors.
Skills Late: Talent Transported is a festival-style careers event, set to the backdrop of our inspiring collection, with music and free refreshments throughout the evening. You will meet transport-sector employers with upcoming vacancies, all looking for London’s future talent now.
Unsure of your next move: apprenticeship, university or work? Sort through the choices available with our expert panel of employers and careers advisors. Enjoy a variety of creative activities and find out about practical support too.
The event has been designed by young Londoners, working with employers to identify and break down some of the barriers young talent face when starting their careers.
We want you to leave the event inspired about the range of careers that keep London moving. After the event, we will support you to turn your conversations with employers into job offers and rewarding careers, as we have successfully done for 100s of other young people.
Full line-up of employers, presenters and activities coming soon.
