Description | This information poster was produced by London Underground in 1993/94. It compares sitting in a traffic jam in your own car to travelling on London Transport using a travel card for Tube and bus. The first is '0% interest' and the second '100% more interesting'. The poster appeals to business people from 'the great car society' who used their cars to get to work. The language of money and banking is used to remind people that time is money and that less time is needed when taking public transport. During the Conservative government, public transport spending decreased. The idea was that successful people did not use public transport. London Underground had to fight harder to get people out of their cars and onto trains and buses. |
