Description | During the Second World War, London Transport joined forces with four motor companies to form London Aircraft Production (L.A.P.). L.A.P. undertook the manufacture, assembly and test flying of Halifax bombers. This poster, designed by Deryck Vesper, was published in 1942. It urged L.A.P. workers not to leave tools, equipment or other unwanted parts in the aircrafts they were building. The serious message is lent humorous undertones by the play on words in the text. Enemy aircrafts were manufactured by 'The German Junkers Company', to which the title wittily alludes. |
