Description	Strand Underground station, Surrey Street entrance, Piccadilly line. Station designed by architect Leslie Green. Photo taken prior to opening, metal shutters and wooden frames block the entrance ways. Wrought iron brackets hanging above the entrance are are awaiting the addition of incandescent lamps. Workmen with step ladders stand outside the station
