Description | Railway Approach, Cannon Street. Third shot in a set of four prints, making up a panoramic view of the row of shop premises and front entrance to Cannon Street station. The Cannon Street Hotel can be seen behind the shop premises. This section features the entrance to Cannon Street station. There is Cannon Street station signage on the overhead canopy, and on the sign with an UndergrounD roundel just within the station. There is decorative iron work of District Railway design above the entrance with a DMR motif in the centre. Bronze framed poster panels, with overhead swan neck light fittings feature either side of the doorway, one displays a poster the other a tube map. Part of Hudson's Brothers premises can be seen. |
