Description | South Kensington Underground station, District and Piccadilly lines. Exterior view of the westbound District line platform (no 4). A sloping glazed canopy supported on cast-iron columns with decorative wooden valance, hangs above the platform. Advertising posters, platform information signs, including an illuminated train describer, and Underground roundels are all on display. This platform was closed in March 1969, and later dismantled. |
