Description
Gloucester Road Underground station, Metropolitan, District and Piccadilly lines. Exterior view featuring the original building (Gloucester Road, Brompton) and Leslie Green's design for the Piccadilly line adjacent. Earlier Metropolitan signage, District and Metropolitan lines signage and an Underground roundel are displayed on the building to the right, which also houses the premises of two shops. Green's glazed block fronted building has the station name incorporated within a freize. On the side of the building, a geographical UndergrounD map comprising of six enamel panels with overhead swan necked light fittings, is displayed. Entrance to all lines is between the buildings. Motor vehicles are parked outside of the station.
