Description | Eastcote Underground station, Metropolitan line. One in a series of photographs taken during a Stepney Green children's outing to Eastcote. This shot shows the children lined up along the length of the eastbound platform at the station, with accompanying adults and uniformed station staff making sure that everyone stays clear of the platform edge. The primitive nature of the station is evident, with an open-faced timber platform and corrugated-iron waiting huts and lavatories. |
