Description
View of two adjacent stairwell entrances to Blackfriars Underground station, located at the junction of Queen Victoria Street and New Bridge Street. Tombstone-style roundels are positioned above each entrance, whilst ornate iron railings surround the stairwells. A newspaper salesman, with a placard in his hands, appears to be taking up his position by the nearer stairwell. A policeman on traffic duty, wearing a light-coloured cape, stands in the road, midground left.
