Description | New stairwell entrance to Chancery Lane station, situated on the east side of Holborn, at the corner with Gray's Inn Road. The stairwell is enclosed by a bronze balustrade on a granite base, and is straddled by an 'UndergrounD' roundel on steel supports. Station name plates in a bronze band are located below the top rail of the balustrade. Another stairwell is visible in the background. A tricycle delivery cart, owned by Messrs Berrick Bros, is parked beside the stairwell, foreground left. Other road traffic includes a bus, taxi, and horse and cart. |
