Description
South Kensington Underground station, Metropolitan and District lines. Exterior view featuring the entrance to the shopping arcade designed by George Sherrin which gave access to the sub-surface ticket hall. Metropolitan Railway and station name signage is displayed over the entrance to the arcade. Above the gates, is ornate wrought iron work incorporating station and line name lettering. Either side of the entrance are skyline logo, glass fronted panels with posters and MR (Metropolitan Railway) motifs above. The first few shops and entrance to the station can be seen within the arcade.
